A few months ago, a crack Tanko unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Kurage Station underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.
(This was a friendly game meant to settle a bet on who’s the best HI link. )
The main catch is that the Judge who wrongfully accused the A-team of war crimes has been kidnapped. JSA must protect their high value target from the retrieval unit of the Heavy Infantry link sent to stop them.
Imperial Service seized the initiative and went first. After initial deployment a Ninja commando was sent to work on the other objective: to reconfigure the gates to secret passages hidden behind propaganda posters.
Our classified objective: Datascan.
With the Imperial Service First turn the Wu Ming advanced to the central position. With their last two orders, they shot at an exposed Domaru Spitfire, and eventually caused two wounds with the second Order of shooting.
In our turn, we first healed up our downed Domaru, then advanced our position and shot an E/M grenade at a Chain Rifle/SMG Wu Ming (orange), making a critical hit immobilizing and isolating him, and our Tanko Missile Launcher engaged in a fire fight with the MULTI-Rifle Wu Ming (In purple), upon movement during the firefight, a Mad Trap caught our Domaru Chain Rifle (Lt) and Immobilized her. Our Ninja went forward and reconfigured a gate, successfully evading shots from a Wu Ming.
With heavy losses, the Imperial Service team reformed their link. They moved their Kanren forward and reconfigured a gate, and then used a Nimbus Grenade to cause a low vis and saturation zone, and then used that cover to shoot at our A-team, causing a wound against the Domaru Spitfire but taking a wound from the Tanko SMG in the process.
In retaliation, the Tanko decided to not reform their link and use their impetuous orders. One advanced, sustaining damage but reaching the purple MULTI-Rifle Wu Ming and slicing her in half with a monofilament blade. Then the Tanko moved forward to the other Wu Ming in a suicide run but oddly enough encountered a critical hit from the BSG Wu Ming and was shot down.
Playing for the End Game, the Imperial Service side tried to prepare for the Impetuous Tanko. The Kanren countered the Ninja and moved into a spot for suppressive fire.
The Tanko moved and tanked-o the Kanren's shot. He then moved to close combat the Kanren and won the battle of blades. Then he moved with the last order to attack the Wu Ming and protect the HVT which succeeded, keeping one more point for ourselves.
Upon retrospection, the Imperial Service had more reconfigured gates (two to one) while we may have controlled the Kuge Delegate we did not achieve our classified, earning two points to both sides and resulting in a Draw.
